Illuminate artist Su Su's painting Darwin in your home! Pittsburgh-based Chinese artist Su Su analyzes and confronts the politics of representation through make-believe worlds that are familiar, yet surreal.  Growing up in Beijing, Su Su was exposed to American pop culture, but often out of context.  Upon arriving in the United States, she had to relearn these cultural codes.  Her paintings are opportunities to explore seemingly familiar characters as both an insider and outsider attempting to understand where she fits in.
